Cut or tear the plaster strips into small pieces, about an inch thick and several inches long. Dip a plaster strip quickly in a dish of water, then smooth it onto the outside of the mask mold. Because the molded plastic is sometimes slippery, you may have more luck starting on a relatively flat area of the mold such as the forehead. Repeat the process, wetting more plaster strips one at a time and smoothing them onto the mold.
