How Do You Make A Face Mask Using Molds?
The basic method to make a face mask using molds is very similar to making a mask without a mold (usually using the wearer’s face). However, using molds can make the process simpler, easier to do alone and certainly much less messy. Plus, face masks made using molds may be easier for people with different shapes of face to wear. Cut or tear the plaster strips into small pieces, about an inch thick and several inches long. Dip a plaster strip quickly in a dish of water, then smooth it onto the outside of the mask mold. Because the molded plastic is sometimes slippery, you may have more luck starting on a relatively flat area of the mold such as the forehead. Repeat the process, wetting more plaster strips one at a time and smoothing them onto the mold. The strips should overlap with each other a bit but be placed in relatively even layers (for example, you probably want to cover everything with a single layer before you start building up any areas more). Cover only the areas that you wa
