Very inexpensive pillar candles are available at your local discount stores and by using a small amount of fabric from your stash or holiday novelty prints, you can economically make fabric lace candle rings that look like you spent a fortune, but only cost pennies. These fabric candle ring projects are quick and easy to craft and would make wonderful gifts for family and friends. Cut a 4-inch-wide by 24-inch-long strip of fabric, using pinking shears. The fabric is not hemmed, so this will give the ruffle a decorative edge. Cut a length of 2-inch-wide flat lace, 24-inches long. Lay the strip of fabric on your work table, with the right side up. Place the length of lace on the fabric, centering it between the long edges of the fabric strip. Pin the 2 pieces together.
