The Dutch braid, or an inside-out French braid, is the basic technique for cornrows. Make sure to have mastery of the basic braid and French braid before you attempt this one. • Start with clean, well-combed hair. • Gather a section of hair at the top of the head and divide it into three sections. • Cross the right strand under the center. Then cross the left strand under the center. • Hold all hair in the left hand and add some hair to the right strand. • Cross the right strand under the center strand.
