How Do You Make A Down Pillow?
Creating a down pillow is easy and often cheaper than buying one. These down pillows are ideal for people who sleep on their side or back. Lay the material out on a flat surface and pin the unfinished sides together. You will need to leave an area open so you can stuff it; this is usually on one of the shorter ends. Sew the short side just to the left of your opening, and continue around the pillow making a ½” seam until you come to a spot about 10″ from where you began sewing. Remove the pins from the material and turn the fabric right-side out through the hole you created. Place the down filling into this hole until the pillow is full. Shake the pillow as needed to distribute the down filling. Slip-stitch the opening to close it, and your pillow is complete.
