How Do You Make A Door Draft Guard?

0

Door draft guards are an easy way to keep heat in and cold out in the winter time. In the summer, quite the other way, they’ll keep summer’s heat from seeping into your cool house. You can buy cute draft guards, but you can also make your own very cheaply. Step 1 Stitch the fabric into a tube, or use iron-on tape to seal the two long sides together. Seal one end, either by sewing or with iron-on tape. Step 2 Stuff the tube with insulating material. Distribute your weights evenly throughout the stuffing as you go. Step 3 Stitch or iron the top end closed. Use velcro if you want to be able to remove the stuffing and wash the cover occasionally. Or, make two tubes, and use one as a cover for the first one. Sew the first one shut, use the velcro on the second. Step 4 Stretch along the inside of the door at the bottom, to cover any space that might allow heat to escape or cold air to enter.
