How Do You Make A DIY Craft Top Hat?
Make this hat for your snowman or for New Years Eve or for Halloween or a kids play. This is a great DIY craft project. On one of the purple strips of card stock, use blue glitter glue to write Happy New Year or the number of the New Year. Let dry completely. If this is for Halloween or a Costume Party skip this step. To create the top hat, roll a full sheet of black craft foam into a cylinder and use hot glue to hold it. This will be the top of the hat and not the brim, so you can make it as tall or short as you want. Stand black cylinder up on top of second black foam sheet. Draw a circle all the way around the cylinder about 2 inches out, to make the brim of the hat, if you want a bigger brim, draw the circle 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches out. Cut out circle on the second black foam sheet. This is the brim of your hat. After you have your “donut” shaped hat brim, hot glue the top to the brim.
