Starting simply allows you more wiggle room later, and you can progress the costume according to your skill. Take a look at Snow White’s costume and reduce it to the most basic parts. The top of her gown is blue, while the skirt is yellow. Look in your own closets for anything that could work as the base costume: an old poofy sleeved night gown, old dance costumes, bridesmaid’s dresses, etc. What can’t be found at home can usually be found at your local thrift store.
