How Do You Make A Dishless Summer Fruit Salad?
Fruit salads are sweet, easy to make treats to serve your guests at that next summer gathering. You can put together a dishless salad that looks so intricate, everyone will think it took hours to make, but it can be prepared in no time at all. Choose a serving method. For large crowds, consider using a large watermelon shell. If you’re serving your fruit salad to a more intimate group, you can serve the fruit in halves of cantaloupe or honeydew melon shells. Slice the pineapple and melons into bite size pieces. Wash and halve the strawberries and rinse the blueberries and raspberries. Scoop the fruit out of your watermelon, cantaloupe or melon shells. Cut jagged edges into the top of each shell so that it resembles an ornate bowl. Fill the shells with various fruit chunks. Use coconut shells instead of melons. Scoop the coconut out before you fill the shell with fruit salad, and grate fresh coconut over the top before serving. Wrap a crepe around fruit chunks to create a fruit burrito.
