The coarse finish of a concrete tee pad prevents slippage during wet conditions, improves the look of the course and controls erosion. Step 1 Use concrete for your tee pad as it lasts longer than any other material available on the market. Concrete specifications should include a 4-inch minimum of thickness, 3000+ pounds per square inch minimum and a 4-inch slump. Dig any concrete tee forms into the ground so that people won’t trip over them. Step 2 Make sure the area of the tee pad is level but not enough to prevent drainage from the pad, sloping no more than half an inch per linear foot.
