How Do You Make A Diamond Kite?

• Take a big piece of bulletin paper (or newspaper) and draw a perfect square on it. • Cut out this square using scissors or an art knife. • Rotate the paper so it looks like a diamond and fold from one side to the other. • Open the paper and place your wooden dowel vertically on the fold line. • Place another dowel horizontally on top of the first dowel in the center of the paper. • Secure these together with some tape. • Place dowels along the edges and tape them securely to the paper. • Cut off all the excess paper. • When that is done, reinforce the kite by adding more tape to the edges and center of the kite. • Make two holes with the vertical dowel in the middle of the holes, above the center point. • Repeat step 10 but make the two holes below the center line. • Feed a string through both sets of holes and tie them together so it makes the keel of the kite.
