How Do You Make A Delicious, Inexpensive Dessert?
Cherry Crunch is a dessert my family has made for years. I never knew how popular this dessert would be until, as an adult, I started making it and taking to parties, friend’s houses and sharing with guests. It is always a hit. And the best part – it is so easy and inexpensive to make! Mix the stick of butter thoroughly with the cake mix. This can be done easily with a fork in a bowl by hand – no mixer needed. You might want to soften or melt the butter in a microwave first. The cake mix will have little clumps throughout. This is the intended result. Spread the cherry pie filling in the bottom of the glass casserole dish. Pour the cake/butter mix over the top of the cherry pie filling. Spread so it covers evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown on top. Don’t under cook it. This dish is actually pretty hard to burn. Let cool and enjoy. Goes well with ice cream.
