How Do You Make A Cute Sleeping Mask?
If you are a very light sleeper and need total darkness, a sleep mask is the thing for you! Why not sew one out of something soft and funky like fleece. Use the pattern to cut out two pieces of fleece (or fabric). Measure your head for the band. Use the elastic to measure. Stretch it slightly so it fits snug. Cut the elastic at this length. Cut out fabric for the band. 4 inches wide and 3 inches longer than the length of the elastic. The result will be that the fabric bunches like a scrunchy. Fold band fabric in half with right sides together and sew side seam. Turn band inside out (I use chopsticks to do this) Slip elastic inside band by attaching a safety pin to one end and working elastic through band. When both ends are through the band, use that safety pin to keep them out while you make the mask part. Pin mask pieces together with right sides facing each other. Sew around the edges using 1/4 inch seam and leaving about 1 1/2 inch open at each end. Turn mask inside out using one o
