How Do You Make A Culpepper Cocktail?
A Culpepper cocktail is a complex drink with a sweet and fruity flavor but high alcohol content. It is comprised of only alcoholic ingredients without mixers. Because it goes down easy, make sure not to over-serve party guests—or you may end up having unwanted overnight guests. This recipe makes one Culpepper, served straight up in a chilled cocktail glass with an orange slice for a bit of extra color and flavor. Fill a cocktail shaker half full with crushed ice. Add the brandy, apricot brandy and orange vodka to the cocktail shaker. Cover the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds. Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into a chilled cocktail glass. Pour the champagne over the finished cocktail and garnish the drink with a fresh orange slice. Serve immediately.
