How Do You Make A Coupling Nut Choker?

0

Using a coupling nut as beading material? Beading need not be expensive. You can find materials for interesting beading in your local hardware store. This tutorial will explain how to make a stunning coupling nut choker. Take six feet of leather or other stringing material and fold it in half. Measure about half an inch down from the arc end of the leather and make an overhand knot to create a loop end for the leather. Be sure the loop is just large enough for the hex nut to slip through. Slide a coupling nut up against the overhand knot. Make another overhand knot below the coupling nut to hold the coupling nut in place. Repeat with each of the coupling nuts until the choker is the length you need. Slide the hex nut onto the end of the leather or other stringing material. The hex nut will act as your toggle clasp. Make one last nut to hold the hex nut in place. You can add a drop of glue, if you like, to be sure the knot holds. Trim any excess leather so that there is only about a 1/2
