Making a concrete slab for an outdoor shower can be a profitable addition to the garden and outside landscape. An outdoor shower can be a great way to cool off on those hot summer days or to clean up from a day in the garden. It is a rewarding experience and will put money into your pocket by doing it yourself. Dig the ground where you want the slab to be placed. The overall size is your choice, but the slab should be placed below ground level, where the top of the slab is approximately one inch higher than the surrounding grade level. Be sure to lay in at least three to four inches of gravel below the wood form. This will make the hole about seven to eight inches deep. Form the concrete slab, by cutting the 2 by 4’s to the correct size, and nail the 2 by 4’s in place to form the square or rectangle of the slab form.
