How Do You Make A Color Mixing Experiment For Children?
Children who are learning about colors and what happens when you blend them will love this simple activity. It will help them discover a new and fun way to practice making new colors. If you are doing this project with more than one child or for a group or class you may want to use a permanent marker to write each child’s name on their zippered ck bag first. Pour 1/2 cup of clear corn syrup into each bag. If you are worried about leaks you can double bag, but you do not have to. Drop a few drops of food coloring for each primary color. You will want to spread the colors out a little bit in the bag. For example, put one color on one side, another in the middle and the last towards the other side of the bag. Seal the bags, trying to get as much air out as possible to make the bag lay flat so they can push the colors around.
