However, college sweatshirts are expensive—they usually start around $60—and they tend to make you look just like every other fan in the building. Stand out while supporting your team with your own college sweatshirt that uniquely expresses your love for your school. Heat the iron. To iron on patches, you will need to set it on high. Iron the college logo patch to the front of your sweatshirt. If the patch is more than six inches in diameter, iron it to the middle of the sweatshirt. If it is smaller, then attach it to the left side where a brand logo would be on a Polo shirt. To iron on a patch, place the adhesive side of the patch against the sweatshirt material. Place the iron directly on top of the patch, and hold it there for 45 seconds.
