What a surprise it will be for your guest when they find a skeleton in this coffin chip dish. The coffin is easy to make using a shoe box and will add a little gore to your Halloween party. To make the coffin you will need a shoe box with a removable lid. Cut both top and bottom of shoe box in old style coffin shape. Make the cut a little larger so flaps can be formed. Add another piece of cardboard for end where head of skeleton will sit. Make fold flaps and glue pieces together with hot glue. Fit top to bottom before gluing. Paint the inside of coffin and lid purple or blue. Paint the outsides black. Let dry. If using for food, place plastic wrap inside box. We wouldn’t want to poison our guest now, would we? Clean skeleton well and let dry before placing in the coffin. Add blue tortilla chips over skeleton and place a bowl of salsa in between skeletons legs. Watch the faces of your guest as the skeleton starts to appear.
