To the butter mixture, add half the flour mixture and half the milk. Beat well. Add the rest of the flour mixture and the milk. Beat well. Fold in the coconut. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Cool completely on rack. When cake is cool, make the frosting. In a medium bowl, blend together the butter and icing sugar. Beat in the milk. Beat mixture well. Mix in one half cup of the coconut. Spread the cooled cake with the icing. Sprinkle with the other 1/4 cup coconut. Serve. Enjoy!
