Clay sculptures are so fun to make. Your kids will love using their hands and then getting to paint their creation when it’s all dry. They have the choice to create a funny face, sad face, clown face or any other type of face they think would be interesting. They can make a boy or girl face, and they can give it short or long hair. There are so many different ways your child can explore with creativity when making a face out of clay. Get a big clump of plain clay. Begin to mold it into the shape of a head. You want the neck to slope out so that it can be flat on the bottom to support the head when it is left sitting on a table. Use your knife to cut away parts of the clay until you can see a definite head shape. Use your excess clay to form ears, eyes, nose and mouth. Then carefully smooth these feature into the face.
