The instructions provided here will make a stocking that is approximately two to three feet in length. The felt can be any color, though usually red, green, or white are typical Christmas colors. Find a stocking pattern. There is a resource provided below in the ‘Resources’ section where you can find a printable pattern. Just be sure to enlarge the image to fit your felt dimensions. Place two sheets of felt one on top of the other. They can be the same color or two different colors, if you choose. Trace the pattern onto one of the sheets of felt. Carefully cut out the stocking shape from the felt sheets. You should now have two exact duplicates of the stocking pattern.
