How Do You Make A Christmas Ornament From Fabric Scraps (Kids)?

0

Learn how to make a very simple and inexpensive Christmas craft. This ornament is a great way to use up small scraps of fabric and teach kids about recycling. It’s a fun project that creates a great gift or a decoration for your own tree. Gather all materials. Prepare work surface by covering with old newspapers, etc. Cut fabric into 1″ x 1″ squares. This can be done with a regular fabric scissors to create straight edges, or a pinking shears for more of a decorative look. Each ornament will need about 30 squares. Begin gluing the squares onto the ball, overlapping as you cover it completely. No foam should be visible once the ball is covered. This will create a patchwork look. You may leave a very small hole uncovered to insert the hanger. Insert one end of the pipe cleaner into the hole. Bend it into a hook shape, trimming off the extra length if needed. Add a drop of glue at the insertion point, so that the hook will not pull out. Finish with a bow of ribbon or yarn around the base
