Making a lighted glass block for Christmas or any holiday is easier then you think. Here are instructions for decorating a glass block that can be made for any occasion with just a little imagination. The first step in making a Christmas lighted glass block is cutting a hole with a 1/2″ glass hole cutter. To do this place the hole cutter on a drill. Secure your glass block so it will not move while cutting the hole. Place a little vegetable oil on the block to prevent friction. Start drilling hole without any pressure on the glass. Too much pressure and the glass block will crack. Continue until drill goes through glass block. Wash the glass block out with water and let dry. The next step is to put a decoration on the glass block. I chose a Christmas transfer from Uppercase Living, but you can use anything that you choose.
