Goes great on top of white, yellow or chocolate cake. Use this recipe to add pizazz to any cake. Put it on German chocolate or Chocolate Italian cream cake. Especially works well with layer cakes. Add in chopped walnuts or pecans for an extra special treat. Gather, prepare and measure out the frosting ingredients: * 3 ounces of unsweetened chocolate * 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened * 1 tablespoon of milk * 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract * dash of salt * 1 box of confectioners’ sugar, 1 lb. Melt the unsweetened chocolate in a double boiler. Add all of the frosting ingredients together, and mix very well. Add a tad of milk if the frosting is too thick, add a tad of powder sugar if it’s too thin. Spread over your favorite cake. Store any leftover frosting in the refrigerator for future use.
