How Do You Make A Chili Pepper Wreath?
Traditional holiday decorations aren’t everybody’s cup of tea. Here is a fiery wreath made from chili peppers that will add some spice to your Christmas entertaining. Purchase dried red chili peppers. These are available in the international section of any market. Measure and cut a length of florist wire (sometimes called paddle wire) to fit around the outside circumference of a straw wreath frame. Pierce a chili at the stem end 1/4 inch down from the stem cap. Run the wire all the way through the chili. Twist the wire around the chili so it won’t slide off the end of the wire. Pierce another chili and slide it alongside the first one. Keep adding chili peppers until you run out of wire. Attach the string of peppers to the outside of the straw frame with florist pins or hairpins. Make another string of chilies to overlap the first string. Pin it on to the middle of the frame.
