How Do You Make A Childrens Book Of Family Poems?
Your children or grandchildren will love making their own book of family poems for the people they love. Get some colored construction paper. These will form the pages of your child’s book. If the pieces are large enough, fold them in half, or if smaller stack them in sheets. You need to form the pages. We like to punch holes in the papers and then use colored yarn to tie the pages together. You can also staple them. Have your child pick out their favorite nursery rhymes or poems (you can visit the library to get books of poems) that describe members of the family. They can pick a poem for Mommy, Daddy, Brother, Sister, Auntie, etc. If your child is old enough to write out the poem, have them copy the poem onto one of the sheets of paper, leaving the facing page blank. If they are not old enough have an adult copy the poem. Look through pictures in the magazines and have your child pick pictures that they feel match the poem.
