The holiday schedule is an important part of the custody and visitation schedule. Parents should come up with a way for the child to spend the holidays and enjoy time with both parents. Gather together a list of all the holidays you want to include in your visitation schedule. You can get the national holidays off of a calendar, get a list of school holidays from your child’s school, and include any personal holidays your family celebrates. On a separate piece of paper, write down all of the holidays you want in your visitation schedule. This should include times like winter and spring break if your child is in school and you want to change the custody and visitation time during those periods.
