How Do You Make A Chicken Fence Gate?
Chicken wire can be used to construct not just the fence, but the gate too. With a little chicken fencing and a few rudimentary tools, you can cheaply and easily build a simple gate to keep in your chickens and prevent them from wandering off. Step 1 Measure the height and width of your gate area, and cut the wooden boards to match the dimensions. Cut the ends at diagonal angles so that they will fit together like a picture frame. Step 2 Arrange the wooden boards to fit together, and hammer nails into the ends of them to connect them. Step 3 Paint the wooden frame at this point (if desired), and let the paint dry completely. Step 4 Screw the hinges to one side of the wooden frame by spacing the hinges approximately 1-1/4 inches apart and drilling them into the wood.
