How Do You Make A Cheep And Quick Puppet Theater?

So you have your puppets if you read my last article but now you need a stage. Read on to find a quick how to for a stage that can be set up and tore down on a whim. Start with pieces of fabric or sheets. Fold them in half. Place a chair on either side of the doorway on the back side of the stage. Wrap the first sheet at seat level on the chair and pin the back to the front through the rungs of the chair. This will be the bottom of the stage. Take the other sheet and hang it from the tops of the chairs. Pin the back to the front. The bottom should come down just past the start of the bottom sheet. Push the two chairs against the wall and you have your stage with more then enough room to accommodate two or three little kids. If using a wider doorway such as an open floor plan use a chair in the middle for support in addition to the other two and use 4 sheets instead of two. This makes a huge stage big enough for birthday parties.
