With their ability to change color, chameleons have fascinated people for ages. Their exotic appearance captures the imagination of children. There are several kinds of chameleons. Give your child a cuddly variation by creating a chameleon hand puppet he’ll play with and maybe even share with his friends. Measure your child’s hand. You will use the patterns included in Steps 3 and 4 to make the top and bottom half of the chameleon. You want the puppet to fit your child’s hand without being too large. The smaller the hand, the smaller the puppet should be to fit properly. Buy a piece of patterned velour with varying shades of green in it (look for green and yellow stripes or other markings).
