How Do You Make A Chair Pad Pattern?
Chairs come in all shapes and sizes, and so do chair seats. Cushions make them more comfortable, inviting your dining guests to linger over dessert and coffee just a little longer. Chair cushions in stores seem to be of the one size fits all variety, which often do not fit the seats on the chairs you have. It’s easy and inexpensive to make your own but first you need a pattern. Making a pattern is the easiest part of all. Step 1 Find a piece of newspaper or wrapping paper large enough to fit the seat of your chair. Step 2 Place the paper on the chair’s seat, making sure it covers the entire seat. Step 3 Find the chair seat’s edges with one hand and mark around the outside edge of the chair seat with the marker with the other hand. Step 4 Cut out the pattern. Step 5 Place this pattern on another piece of newspaper and add a minimum of 5/8 inch all the way around the outside edge with the marker. Cut out this second pattern, which is the actual pattern you will use to make your chair pad
