How Do You Make A Card Template?
Creating a card template for your handmade greeting card can be as simple as tracing the form of an old greeting card, but there are other creative ways to make a template that can be mass produced for party invitations and special events. By using simple materials, you can successfully design card templates for any project. As you mass produce party invitations, you will need a sturdy base. Place a clean sheet of heavy, sturdy card stock—the heavier the weight, the better—on your work space. Print a card template from online and cut it out. See the Resources section for a few options, including heart-, fan- or hat-shaped cards. Trace the template on your card stock or the outline of an old greeting card with a pencil. Also, consider folding the card stock in half and using a paper cutter or scissors to trim about two inches off the top or sides to make a smaller card template. Cut out the template and use it to retrace on other sheets of card stock to mass produce invitations.
