How Do You Make A Card Table Cover?

0

Got an old card table that’s still pretty sturdy and serviceable, but has a cracked or worn top? Make an easy card table cover from any fabric or felt that will ensure that your standard size (34 inches by 34 inches) card table is usable for a while longer. This is a relatively simple project, and if you can sew a straight line, you can sew your own homemade, custom card table cover that’s perfect for family game night, Bunco night or poker night. Measure and cut a 39 inch by 39 inch square from the fabric. Slightly round the corners. Sew a 1-inch hem around the entire fabric piece, leaving a small area open. Attach a safety pin to one end of your elastic and use this to thread the elastic through the hem of the fabric. Secure the ends of the elastic together with the safety pin or by stitching the ends together, then sew the opening in the hem closed. Slip the cover over the card table. Launder as needed.
