How Do You Make A California Fruit Salad?
Fresh fruit is healthy and great to eat any time of day. A fruit salad can be great for breakfast, as a healthy snack, or even dessert. Here’s a recipe for how to make a California fruit salad: In a medium-sized bowl, add a quarter cup of sour cream, a quarter cup of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of lime juice, and 1/2 teaspoon of zest of lime. Mix up ingredients and place bowl in refrigerator while preparing the rest of the fruit salad. Take a cantaloupe and cut it in half crosswise. Scoop the seeds out of the cantaloupe halves. Once the cantaloupe is cut and the seeds are removed, fill the cantaloupe halves with assorted fresh fruit such as strawberries, grapes, banana, blueberries, watermelon, and honeydew melon. You can also scoop the cantaloupe out of one half and put it in the other. As an optional step, you can add 2 tablespoons of crumbled blue cheese onto your fruit salad. Finish by pouring the chilled dressing onto your fruit salad.
