Making a building disappear is simply a magical optical illusion, since the only way for a building to truly disappear is to destroy it. Because a building is so large, it takes a lot of practice and props to successfully give the appearance of a building that vanishes into thin air. Step 1 Restrict the view of the building to one vantage point by constructing two towers on either side of it. Surround the towers by extremely bright lights. Step 2 Build an arch strong enough to sustain the weight of an enormous curtain.
