With a few simple instructions, you’ll be making beautiful rugs in no time. Purchase or recycle several heavyweight towels in the color(s) of your choice. Cut the towels lengthwise into 2-inch wide strips. If you intend to braid a particular color assortment together, lay out the strips sorted by color. Sew the ends of three of the strips together. Begin at the sewn end, and twist the strips into a simple three-part braid. At the end of the fabric, clip the braid with a clothespin to keep it from unraveling.
