Blowguns are simple and primitive weapons used for hunting or capturing wildlife. By blowing air through the blowgun’s tube, a hunter can propel blowgun darts accurately at a high velocity. No matter whether you’re using a homemade blowgun or one purchased from a sporting goods store, you can build a homemade quiver to hold your darts. Measure the length of your blowgun darts to determine what size canister you need for the quiver. If your darts are small and use nails or pins for tips, you can use an empty film canister for the quiver. If you shoot larger darts, you might want to use a standard soup can. Empty, rinse out and allow your quiver canister to dry. If you plan to use the blowgun for hunting, use warm water and a non-allergenic detergent to clean out your container.
