How Do You Make A BIN And CUE File?
BIN and CUE file extensions come together, and they are image files that typically hold the contents of a CD or DVD. The BIN extension holds the actual data, and the CUE holds track information. It is a simple process to burn a BIN/CUE file with the application Alcohol 120. Download Alcohol 120 (see “Additional Resources,” below). Insert the disc to be converted to BIN/CUE into your computer’s CD or DVD drive. Start Alcohol 120. Select “Image Making Wizard” from the main menu on the left side of the screen. Select the drive where the disc is in the “CD/DVD Device” blank, and click “Next.” Name the file in the “Image Name” blank. Select the folder where the image will be created in the “Image Location” window. Select “CDRWIN Image File (.cue)” in the “Image Format” blank. Click “Start” to begin the creation of the BIN/CUE file.
