How Do You Make A Bedspread Cover?
Bedspread covers can be a great way to refresh your bedroom without having to spend a ton of money. By making your own bedspread cover you can spend even more. Bedspread covers also allow you to protect an older, fancier bedspread from daily wear-and-tear, allowing you to keep it for longer. Bedspread covers are easy to make and can even let you put those old sheets to use. Use two flat bedsheets the size of your bed. Working with bedsheets makes creating a bedspread cover even easier, since they already come hemmed and are always wide enough. Take the top part of the two bedsheets, and pin them together with right sides facing. Sew them together leaving a 1-inch seam allowance. Press open the seam allowance, and pin the zipper facing the seam allowance and with the teeth centered on the seam. Sew the zipper down to the seam allowance and as close as possible to the teeth using a zipper foot. Rip out the seam covering the zipper to expose the zipper. Leave the zipper open a few inches.
