How Do You Make A Batch File In XP Professional?
A batch file, which ends with the .bat file extension, is a Windows-specific file that allows you to write simple scripts. You can put a series of commands inside of a batch file, and when you double-click the file, the commands will execute in order. If you know the types of commands to put inside of a batch file, you can quickly and easily create one in Windows XP. Click the “Start” button, select “Run,” type “notepad.exe,” and then hit “Enter.” Click the “File” button, select “Save As,” type the name of the batch file, such as testfile.bat, select “All Files” from the “Save as type” dropdown and then click the “Save” button. Type out the commands you wish to execute inside the batch file and then click the “Save” button on the toolbar. Your batch file is now complete and ready to run.
