Match the cotton fabric to the baby’s other bedding and items, or you may want to make the pillow in a neutral color to use for more than one child. Measure the mother’s waist. Measure from one outside pant seam on the hip, to the other. Draw a crescent shape onto the fabric. Make the hole inside the crescent shape the same width as the woman’s waist or larger. Double the fabric and cut out the crescent shape so that you have two matching pieces. Use fabric scissors or a fabric rotary cutter on a cutting mat to prevent fraying at the seams and jagged cuts from dull scissors.
