How Do You Make 10 Minute Pralines?
Pralines are a tasty candy usually found in the south. My husband comes from New Orleans and this is the recipe HIS mom used. They are so good and so easy to make. Pralines are usually made with Pecans but I have had pralines made with other nuts like cashews and peanuts. I think the pecans are the best. This recipe only makes 10 pralines and I have been told not to try to double the recipe because it wont set. I have never tried to double it personally because I don’t like wasting ingredients. If you are bold enough to double it, don’t blame me if they don’t get hard 🙂 Combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and evaporated milk in a medium size saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and butter. Add pecans. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper to set. Once set, you can peel off of the wax paper and keep in an airtight container for several days. This is so good they probably won’t be around for that long but it’
