Its festive season and fireworks definitely figure in the to do lists of almost each of us. Watching and playing with them is good fun. But one must remember fireworks are explosives and can burn high very high temperatures!! Counsel children well in advance about the after effects of any mis-hap. Teach them to be safe than sorry. Always supervise your kids while they play with fireworks. Children behave better and more responsible when they know you are there. Always light fireworks from safe distance using long lighters and move away- do not venture near it even if it fails to burst! Use protective eye wear it help prevent many undesirable affects. Burnt out sparklers should be disposed off in a bucket of water to douse off splinters if any. Water needs to be kept handy in case of fire too.
