Crush 2 1/2 teaspoons of whole cloves until it is small bits. Don’t leave big pieces, yet don’t turn it into a powder either. Crush up 10 inches of cinnamon sticks into small bits. Just like the cloves, don’t turn it into a powdery mess. Finely chop 4 tablespoons of candied ginger. Now mix the crushed whole cloves, the crushed cinnamon sticks, and the finely chopped candied ginger to 1 lb of orange pekoe tea. Now add 4 tablespoons of dried orange peel and 1 teaspoon of nutmeg to the orange tea mixture. Use one 1 teaspoon of this spiced orange tea product for each cup of tea. Steep it for 10 minutes. Add sweetener if preferred. Store any remaining tea in an airtight container, in a cool place (possibly the refrigerator).
