Do you know someone who is in Federal Prison? Would like to know where they are or where they were. It is easier than you think. Use this information for research or to find a lost piece of the past. Hearing rumors about someone? Check for yourself with this information. Good luck. Log onto http://www.bop.gov/iloc2/LocateInmate.jsp You can search by ID number or by name. Enter the information and click search. A page with inmate will appear, it will say released if no longer incarcerated. If the inmate is still incarcerated a link will appear after the inmates name. Click the link to get the location of the prison and the mailing information. This is a great research tool. I do not recommend writing to anyone that is incarcerated unless you know them personally. However if you do, I would recommend not giving them your real address. Better safe than sorry.
