Listening to music on an MP3 player can help you pass the time while taking the train to work or going for a jog. With the right plug-in, you can also listen to music on your MP3 player through car speakers or a home CD player. Before you can listen to any songs using the MP3 player, however, you will first need to load music onto the device. The audio software Windows Media Player is a free program you can use to load music onto an MP3 player. Plug the MP3 player into the computer. Open Windows Media Player. Select the “Sync” tab in the Windows Media Player toolbar. Choose “Songs” under “Library” in the Windows Media Player left column.
