How do you litter train a rabbit?
With our rabbit, at first we tried to place the litter box in the best possible location (according to Internet research) where it should be in his cage. We even prepared it exactly as other answerers have said to. But this did not work for us. (so much for the experts!). So, instead we just improvised. We took very careful note as to where the overwhelming majority of his droppings were landing on his cage floor (His consistent “shot groups”). We then moved his target (the litter box) instead of trying to work on his aim. It worked like a charm. He became a rabbit dropping sharpshooter in no time firing thousands of rounds(poops) into that box ever since and very rarely missing. Yes, litter use is definitely worth it. It really helps keep bunnies’ cages cleaner. The litter for litter boxes is also usually much cheaper than most good bedding material and greatly reduces bad odors.
