How Do You Light A Wood Burner?
A wood burner is a practical and cost-effective way to heat your home. It also adds a touch of coziness and elegance to your living space. Lighting a wood burner takes some practice, but with a little time, you’ll be building roaring fires to heat your house all winter long. Open the air vents on the wood burner to supply oxygen to your fire. Leave these open to keep your fire burning. Ball up six to eight sheets of newspaper and arrange in a pile in the center of the wood burner. Layer six to eight small pieces of wood kindling on top of the newspaper in the wood burner. Arrange the kindling in a pyramid shape to ensure the flames are able to reach each piece. Light the pile of newspaper in several places with the lighter. Allow the newspaper and kindling to become fully aflame. Add more wood kindling and one or two larger wood logs to the fire.
