If you want a roaring fire in your gas fireplace, forget about chopping wood. Most gas fireplaces are easy to light by turning on the gas and igniting the fire with a long match. If your fireplace has a gas key, follow these instructions to light the fire. Light the long match. Insert the key into the hole, usually located in front of the fireplace.
