Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerators use leveling bolts as opposed to the leveling legs found on other types of refrigerators to level the refrigerator. You access the leveling bolts from the front of the refrigerator, so you do not have to move the unit from its installed position. If you have cabinets above the refrigerator, you will need to allow enough clearance for the cabinet doors to open after the refrigerator is level, otherwise you can level the refrigerator without concern for the finished height. With the doors fully opened, lift up the base grill. Tilt the top of the base grill away from the refrigerator. Set the base grill aside. Attach the 1/2-inch socket to the ratchet. Inspect the arrangement of the bolts located in the area where you removed the base grill. The bolts located to the inside of the door hinges are the leveling bolts.
